We make it a point to read to the twins every day. I even bought them an advent calendar that has a story about Rudolph and Christmas that we read together.
Granted, they are little too young to understand what is going on, but that doesn’t mean I can’t try, right?! Plus, it will be great to get them into stories now, so when they do get older we can all read together!
With that being said, I wanted to find some Christmas books for kids that would be fun to read for years to come.
Does it get any more classic than How the Grinch Stole Christmas!? This is a story I can’t wait to start sharing with my kids. This Grinch story is one of my absolute favorites from my own childhood, and I hope my kids grow to love it as much as I do!
I read the reviews for Richard Scarry’s Best Christmas Book Ever! and it sounds like a winner for children of all ages. Kids love Richard Scarry books – in large part because of his iconic cast of characters and iconic drawings – so this is sure to become a holiday favorite!
The Stinky Face series is one of our absolute favorites, and Merry Christmas, Stinky Face is a great addition to the series!
Not only will your little one learn about Christmas, but they will practice counting, too! 10 Trim-the-Tree’ers: A Holiday Counting Book features ten neighbors all decorating their community tree. Cute!
We just bought A Bad Kitty Christmas for the twins and I can’t wait to read it. We have a black cat that’s up to no good, so I’m fairly certain they wrote this story for us. 🙂 I can’t wait until they are old enough to enjoy it with us!
What are your favorite Christmas books for kids?
