Adorable Christmas Shirts and Onesies

I had no intention of dressing the twins in anything special for the holidays until I saw these shirts and onesies. They are too cute! I especially love the “Too Cute for The Naughty List” one. They are 18 months (the twins, not the shirt). If you’ve dealt with toddlers then you know this shirt is very fitting. 🙂

Too Cute for the Naughty ListAdorable.

The shirts and onesies come in various sizes, ranging from 3 months to 2 T (depending on colors and neck- v neck or crew). Your color choices are black, red, white or grey. You can also choose your font color on some of them. I love the customization options!

I kind of need to put my son in suspenders now, right?!

christmas shirtsLOVE.

That’s a big fat YES.

I’m thinking this one for my daughter, as the Santa’s favorite probably isn’t appropriate when you have more than one kid. 😉

Online Window Shopping: Nursery Art from Minted

While Minted started out as an online stationery store, they have been expanding into a full-fledged everything paper store, including nursery art. I’m a bit of a Minted junkie. I purchased our holiday cards, thank you notes*, and Fitz’s birth announcements* from Minted, and even ordered a framed copy of our birth announcement from here.  I seriously love checking out everything Minted has to offer.

I was browsing the site over the weekend and thought I’d share some of my favorite pieces of art that would look lovely in any nursery:

I love you to the moon and back wall art

How adorable is this I love you to the moon and back wall art? This is a popular phrase for nurseries, and I love the idea of personalizing it with family photos! Prices start at $29 for an 8″ x 8″ print that’s unframed or $42 framed.

The Little Miss

This Little Miss Print is also available as The Little Mister for boys. The cameo itself can’t be edited but all of the text is editable. This print starts at $24 for an unframed 5″ x 7″ or $29 for the same size framed. Sizes go all the way up to 44″ x 60″.

Words to Live By PrintI love the phrase “Be Brave” and say it frequently to Fitz and my dogs so this Rules to Live By Print jumped out at me immediately. The price starts at $20 for an unframed 5″ x 7″ or $29 for a framed print.

5 Easter Board Books for Your Little One’s Easter Basket

There are a plethora of holiday books for babies, but the two holidays that I personally think have the best books available are Christmas and Easter. And I’m not even talking about religious books! For whatever reason it just seems like these two holidays produce some of the cutest children’s stories.

If you’re looking for an Easter book or two to include in your little one’s Easter basket this year, here are some great options that  you’re sure to love reading together:

Llama Llama Easter Egg

I’m not yet familiar with the Llama Llama series, but I see these books everywhere so I assume I will soon become acquainted! Llama Llama Easter Egg ($5.99 at Amazon) was just released on February 5 and is one of the newest board books in the series.

Synopsis: In Llama Llama Easter Egg, the Easter Bunny brings lots of treats for Llama Llama: jelly beans, colorful eggs, and a fluffy surprise!

Hop! Hop!

Leslie Patricelli’s baby board books are a favorite of mine. I can’t really speak yet to how babies feel about them, but as a reader I find them quite hilarious! Hop! Hop! is one of her newest books and it covers things like the Easter bunny and dying eggs.

I Love You Honey Bunny

Babies will love the fuzzy ears protruding from the top of I Love You, Honey Bunny ($5.67 at Amazon)! This book isn’t specifically for Easter, but with the honey bunny theme it will work perfectly on Easter and the rest of the year!

Happy Easter, Mouse!

Happy Easter, Mouse! ($6.29 at Barnes & Noble) is a board book from the writers of the “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” series, which just so happens to be one of my favorite kiddie books of all time. In this story, Mouse tries to figure out who is leaving Easter eggs all over his house.

Pat the Bunny

Pat the Bunny ($6.66 at Barnes & Noble) isn’t an Easter book, but I feel like it should be included here! It’s one of the most beloved baby books of all time, partially because it encourages babies to pet the bunny while reading. What better book could there be on Easter for those of us who don’t have pet rabbits at home?

Gift for New Dads: Treat Him to Some Gear He Will Love!

Gifts for New Dads |

Amidst all of the baby planning and baby showers that took place over the past nearly 10 months (!), nearly all of the gifts we received were either for the baby or for me so I decided that I wanted to do something really special for my husband on Valentine’s Day. I chose Valentine’s Day because our baby’s due date is JUST around the corner and I thought it would be a fun surprise for him. This new dad gift has been in the works for a few months as I started compiling a selection of new dad gear over the holidays, with the intention that I would package it all together in a diaper bag I purchased just for him.

If you’re looking for some ideas and inspiration for a gift for new dads, here’s what I included in my husband’s gift:

Graco Gotham Smart Organizer System Back Pack Diaper Bag – I have a feeling my husband will be a pretty hands-on dad, and I didn’t think he’d appreciate carrying my girly Marc Jacobs diaper bag. This bag seems to have a little bit of everything including a changing pad, insulated pocket to help keep bottles cool, a dedicated wipes area, and myriad internal and external pockets. A friend told me you can never have enough pockets in a diaper bag and this bag has plenty!

Between Me and You Dad Book – I purchased these questionnaire books for our parents for Christmas, and later picked up versions for me and my husband. These are keepsake books that get filled in detailing the history of the recipient. Questions include things like what did you want to be when you grew up and what kind of music you listened to as a teenager, among many others. I hope our kid enjoys looking through the collection of memory books he/she will receive one day!

Just Me and My Dad by Mercer Mayer – I used to love the Mercer Mayer books and my husband is looking forward to reading to the baby so this seemed like a must!

My Dad Loves Me! Board Book – My husband loves polar bears, so I couldn’t resist this board book!

Michigan Wolverines Baby Bottles – We received surprisingly little Michigan gear, which is both mine and my husband’s alma mater, so I thought a few extra items were necessary. We will have 5 of these Michigan bottles, but I have a feeling they’ll become a favorite for my husband.

Chewbeads MLB Gameday Teether – My husband roots for all professional sports teams from Michigan, but the Detroit Tigers are his favorite. I can envision the baby will get a lot of use out of this teether this summer as they watch Tigers’ games together!

Michigan Pacifier with Clip Set – This gift for dad wouldn’t be complete without a Michigan pacifier and clip, which will keep the paci secure when they’re on the go!

Vosges Haut-Chocolat Bacon Caramel Toffee – I gave my husband this gift for Valentine’s Day so I wanted to make sure I threw in some of his favorite candy!
